TORONTO – April 14, 2014 – ESC Corporate Services Ltd. (ESC) has agreed to terms for the acquisition of the Quebec-based corporate services division of D+H known as C.R.A.C. (Corporate Research and Analysis Centre). The purchase includes the departments fulfilling incorporation services, trademarks, corporate due diligence and corporate accessories. The transaction is expected to close in May.
“C.R.A.C. and ESC have been trading partners supporting our respective legal customers across Canada for many years. We have entirely complimentary services, albeit in different geographic markets. We are very excited to welcome C.R.A.C.’s highly experienced team and look towards enabling C.R.A.C. and ESC with our respective product offerings and systems”, said Chris Valentine, President of ESC. “Together we believe we can enable both C.R.A.C. and ESC’s customers to continue to offer timely and knowledgeable corporate services alongside a unique and broad suite of online national and international inquiry and filing services.”
“ESC will provide C.R.A.C. with the tools and reach we need to expand our service offering to our customers in Quebec”, said Pierre Bilodeau, C.R.A.C.’s Director of Client Services, who will be transitioning with the team. “We have always chosen to work with ESC in Ontario as they embody the ideals of experience and customer service we have made our hallmark here in Quebec. I know I speak for the C.R.A.C. team when I say this transaction will only further our ability to offer our clients, both in Quebec and Ontario, a broader and deeper suite of services which will compliment our core offering of corporate filings, inquiries, accessories and trademarks.”
C.R.A.C. will operate under its own name and conduct business from its present location at 1080 Beaver Hall in Montreal.
